Cordella: a young wine between tradition and modernity

Cordella is the result of research and experimentation that represents the synthesis of high-altitude winemaking in Petralia Sottana: it is a project that looks to the future while maintaining strong roots in the Madonie area, serving as a prototype and starting point for the development of the Contrada Sant'Elia vineyard.

In recent years, new white grape varieties have been planted, including Grillo, with the conviction that the altitude, exposure and particular soil and climate conditions of the Madonie mountains can produce wines characterised by freshness, aromatic tension and a strong territorial identity. Cordella was created with the ambition of offering a fresh and contemporary interpretation of its land of origin, capable of appealing even to younger palates and those who want to share a convivial and carefree moment.

Its name recalls the traditional Ballo della Cordella dance of Petralia Sottana, an ancient folk ritual that intertwines memory, peasant culture and a sense of community belonging. Cordella also aims to pay homage to the new generations of the territory, guardians of the local heritage and symbol of the future: they are ideally entrusted with the task of continuing to intertwine history and tomorrow, just like the threads of the dance, with the same passion that can be found in every glass.
