Lilium Petrae: the rock lily that tells the story of Madonie mountains

Lilium Petrae is much more than a wine: it is a story of identity, territory and resilience that has its roots in the heart of the Madonie mountains. Its name recalls the ancient Latin name of Petralia Sottana and the symbol of the rock lily, a flower capable of blooming among the stones, an emblem of hope, rebirth and natural strength.

The vineyard is located at an altitude of about 1,000 metres, in a landscape where the Madonie mountains open up towards the village of Petralia Sottana. Here, the vines grow in demanding soil, where significant temperature variations, cool nights and mountain air contribute to the slow and spontaneous ripening of the grapes, promoting the development of intense and elegant aromas.

Lilium Petrae is the result of the harmonious combination of different grape varieties that are now perfectly acclimatised to the extreme altitudes of mountainous Sicily. The blend is carefully calibrated each year, adjusting the proportions of the different grapes to ensure that, harvest after harvest, the wine faithfully reflects the terroir. It is a wine that changes as the seasons change in the mountains, while maintaining a stable identity made up of rock, wind and light.

Lilium Petrae is therefore the authentic expression of the Madonie identity: a wine that encapsulates the character of the territory, agricultural tradition and the memory of its land of origin in every sip, offering a sensory experience that speaks of landscape, culture and belonging.
